Roma facing acid test
RUGBY LEAGUE: Rivals Roma and Wallumbilla/Surat will test their premiership credentials on Sunday.
The two sides will battle at Arthur Beetson Oval in a highly anticipated match-up.
The result of the derby could have huge ramifications for either side.
For Roma Cities, victory will give them a major confidence boost heading into the mid-way point of the season.
The Wallumbilla/Surat Red Bulls have a chance to pull clear at the top of the ladder with victory.
The Red Bulls are undefeated this season and their most recent victory over St George Saints displayed their attacking flair.
Cities will need to be at their best to challenge the high-flying Red Bulls.
After a 52-point win over Mitchell Magpies, coach Scott Hilton said it was good to have form going into the derby.
Hilton said his side still had plenty to work on before Sunday's clash.
"Mainly our defence is what we need to work on,” Hilton said.
"Our line speed and just getting the little things right is what we will work on at training.”
Red Bulls coach Ryan Wehl said victory this weekend would provide a major boost to his side.
He said his side still considered Cities the team to beat this season.
"They may have started slow this year, but they still are the pinnacle,” Wehl said.
"We will take it as another game.
"We want to continue to defend our line and then the attack will come off that.”
Kick-off for this weekend's A Grade game will be at 3pm.
