Roma Easter in the Country- action as it happens
AT 9am this morning huge crowds gathered along Roma's McDowall Street for the Easter in the Country street parade.
Kids and adults alike were rapt as the huge, colourful procession made its way down the main street, while clowns and comedic duo the Crack-Up Sisters doubled back and forth entertaining the crowd.
While there were heaps of parade highlights, the Get Pinkt float stood out and ended up winning the Community Section of the street parade awards.
Roma State College took home the prize for Best Float with their Easter-themed display and Matt's Small Engine Repairs won the prize for Best Business float.
With the parade finished, the crowds had a chance to wander through the hundreds of market stalls on display and watch street theatre including the Big Top Variety Show and Neil Duddy's piglet racing.
The markets have now closed down for the day, but there's plenty more action coming up before the day is out.
Right now you should head to Bassett Park for the Easter Races or (if you prefer horse power to horses) make your way to the Ironbark Raceway for the Easter in the Country motocross.
You can also catch the action at the Roma drag tracks (near the motocross), with the Test and Tune drags now on or go to the Bungil Street Recreation Ovals and watch the famous Mud Derby.
This evening head to the Roma Speedway from 6pm until 10:30pm watch cars hit the track for the Easter Specular.
