According to CoreLogic, the median sale price for a house in the area is $880,000.

Ms Maguire said the new owners were attracted to both the location and the structure of the home.

"They loved the bones of the house, and the waterfront location," she said.

The home sits on 1,086sq m of riverfront land and has an in-ground swimming pool, media room and four bedrooms, including a master suite with walk-in-wardrobe, ensuite and balcony.

Ms Maguire said there was a lot of demand for quality homes in the area.

"Unfortunately, there's just not enough stock to keep up," she said.

Ms Maguire said buyers were flocking to Indooroopilly because of its reputable schools, easy access to the city, shopping and dining district and typically larger block sizes.
