REVEALED: Massive mural art plans for two Maranoa towns

Maranoa residents have a chance to shape the future of two towns’ looks with the local council opening up consultation for potential murals.

One piece of infrastructure which could be painted is the Surat water tower, visible from the southern entrance of town.

A survey on the council’s Have Your Say website is currently open until March 12.

Feedback will be collated and presented at a community meeting in the Shire Hall at 5.30pm on March 30.

The Yuleba Booster Facility has also been flagged for some artwork, and the council is also seeking feedback for this potential project.

This Perry St building can be seen from the Warrego Highway heading eastbound.

Consultation is also open on the Have Your Say website until March 12, with feedback being presented at the Yuleba Memorial Hall at 5.30pm on March 31.

The council has not allocated a budget for either project for the current financial year.
