REVEALED: The LNP candidates to replace Howard Hobbs

MARANOA Regional Council mayor Robert Loughnan is among three candidates who will seek Liberal National Party endorsement to stand for the state seat of Warrego at next year's Queensland election.

Mr Loughnan, who is also a Roma grazier, will be up against current Warrego MP Howard Hobbs' electorate officer Ann Leahy and Branch Manager, Agricultural Equipment Supplier, John Travers.

LNP State Director Brad Henderson said given the vast size of the electorate, eligible local party members will vote via postal plebiscite to select the party's candidate for the state election.

The pre-selection ballot follows the decision of long serving member, Howard Hobbs MP, to retire at the next election.
