Reserve grade teams from St. George and Chinchilla both made the trip to Bassett Park, Roma, for their semi final game.
The Saints and the Dogs played a wild and aggressive brand of football, with both sides losing a number of players to injuries.
At the end of the first half, the score was locked at 12-all.
While St. George posted back-to-back tries and fought hard to keep Chinchilla off their line, a missed conversion ultimately cost them the game.
At the siren, scores were 24-22, and Chinchilla claimed the first of their two spots in the grand final.
The reserve grade Bulldogs side will be up against Roma Cities reserves on Sunday, August 26th.
