Queensland MP threatens to hit own government with RTI

BUNDAMBA MP Jo-Ann Miller has threatened to launch Right to Information requests about the infrastructure decision making processes of her own government.

Speaking at the budget estimates hearings at Parliament House in Brisbane Ms Miller said she was "clearly not satisfied" with responses to her questions from Deputy Premier Jackie Trad.

Ms Miller requested to see how decisions on the government's $180 million Significant Regional Infrastructure Plan had been made.

Ms Miller asked Infrastructure Department director-general Frankie Carroll if flow charts of the decision making process could be made available and threatened to launch an RTI investigation if needed.

"Was there any formal flow chart of the decision making process? Or do I have to RTI it?" she said.

Mr Carroll said he did not have the documents but promised to provide Ms Miller with them after the hearings.

Although her Labor colleagues have been asking Ms Trad prepared questions on notice Ms Miller has not.

The former police minister has applied to appear on all budget estimates committees over the next two weeks.

On estimate's first day Ms Miller put pointed questions to Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk, Treasurer Curtis Pitt and Employment Minister Grace Grace.

Ms Miller fell out with her party leadership after a Parliamentary Ethics Committee report found she had acted "recklessly" in failing to destroy a sensitive document after the 2015 election.
