Deputy principal hurt in altercation with student

NAMBUCCA Heads High School was briefly placed in lockdown this morning after an altercation between two students ended with the deputy principal suffering an injury.

At 11am on Thursday police were called to the school in relation to an altercation between two students.

The deputy principal was found to suffer a small laceration to the arm. He was treated by paramedics.

Police recovered a knife at the scene and a 15 year-old male was taken to Macksville Police Station where he is assisting with their enquiries.
