Police warning as elderly man approaches child

MEMBERS of the community are asked to be vigilant in and around schools after a young boy was allegedly approached by an elderly male on Granite Belt Drive, Thulimbah.

The man asked the child a number of times to get into his vehicle for a lift but left the scene when the child refused.

The man is described as 60 to 70, short grey hair, balding on top, unshaven appearance and driving a faded grey, four-door sedan, unknown make.

Anybody sighting a similar vehicle/person are asked to immediately contact Stanthorpe Police or Crime Stoppers 1800 333 000.
