Police seize 32 cannabis plants in drug raid at Kalapa today

A POLICE search today has led to the discovery of 32 cannabis plants, 879 grams of cannabis and cannabis seeds on a rural property 15km west of Rockhampton.

A 51-year-old man will appear in Rockhampton Magistrate's Court on December 8 for one count of producing dangerous drugs, one count of possessing dangerous drugs and two counts of possessing drug utensils.

Police from the Rockhampton Stock and Rural Crime Investigation Squad executed a search warrant at the Kalapa property after receiving information from the public relating to the production of cannabis.

The cannabis plants were located in a rear paddock, while the cannabis and seeds were found in the house and shed.

 

Police seized the drugs along with a set of scales and a water pipe.
