Police play Santa: Officers return stolen Christmas gifts

POLICE on the Gold Coast have played Santa to a 65-year-old man after his swag of Christmas presents was stolen from his Paradise Point home this morning.

The gifts were allegedly stolen from his car and home after an apparent break-in.

But Runaway Bay officers tracked down his car at Coombabah later that morning, finding the presents inside.

Two men, aged 21 and 27, were arrested this morning in relation to the theft, and are being questioned by police.
