A POLICE officer from the Central Region was dismissed from the Queensland Police Service on Wednesday.

The dismissal relates to official misconduct following a lengthy internal investigation, a police spokesman said.

"In keeping with our commitment to high standards of behaviour, transparency and accountability, we undertake to inform the public when an officer faces disciplinary processes involving stand down, suspension or dismissal," he said.
