Police heroism recognised nearly two decades on

THREE Dalby police officers have been recognised for apprehending a man who had armed himself with two knives in a violent domestic dispute more than 19 years ago.

Senior Constable Peter Horn and Senior Sergeant Ian Potter, with Gregory Drain, received a Group Bravery Citation for their actions in disarming a man waving two knives at a Dalby home the morning of November 29, 1997.

The man had threatened the officers with the knives, and had managed to slash one of their shirts, before he was tackled and arrested.
