Pedestrian hit by car in Ipswich CBD

A PEDESTRIAN is not thought to have suffered any serious injuries despite being hit by a car in the Ipswich CBD late this afternoon.

The incident occurred shortly after 6pm at the corner of Brisbane and East Sts.

Initial reports said the was man up and walking about shortly after the accident.

He was also attended to by paramedics as a precautionary measure.

There was some traffic as a result of the collision, but congestion has since eased.
