Passion for job pays off for Liana, being awarded employee of the year

Liana Leard figures she hasn’t worked a day in her life, because she finds so much enjoyment working alongside her colleagues at Roma Taxation Office.

The receptionist of two years was awarded employee of the year at the Maranoa Business Awards and Roma Taxation Office won small business of the year.

“I was so shocked and I feel very humble. I work with a very good team which doesn’t make work seem like work,” she said.

“We are a team more than anything else, my boss is not really my boss, she’s more a friend.”

Mrs Leard said the business of five employees was thrilled to be the recipients of small business of the year.

“It’s good to see our hard work and dedication has shown. My boss Kerri-Leigh puts in long hours so it’s great to be recognised.”
