Passenger tries to jump from ambulance

A MAN who tried to jump out of an ambulance was taken to the Princess Alexandria Hospital yesterday with a police escort.

The man was in the ambulance at 12.37pm as it travelled down the Warrego Hwy at Walloon.

It is understood he then tried to exit the ambulance, leading to a minor three-vehicle traffic accident.

Two patients from the accident were treated for neck soreness.

The ambulance vehicle was not damaged in the collision and paramedics were able to stabilise their primary patient.

Police were called to the scene and then accompanied the man to hospital.
