CATTLE farmers gathered at the Roma Saleyards on Tuesday, October 13 to turn over the livestock they have put countless hours into raising.

A total of 5,402 head of cattle were consigned at Roma’s Store Sale on Tuesday.

Steers

Weaner steers under 220kg topped at 572c/kg and averaged 531c/kg, weaner steers in the 220-280kg range reached 530c/kg and averaged 481c/kg.

Steers in the 280-350kg range reached 486c/kg and averaged 424c/kg, and steers in the 350 400kg range reached 442c/kg and averaged 400c/kg.

Feeder steers in the 400-550kg range topping at 410c/kg and averaging 373c/kg.

Cows and calves hit $1,940/unit.
