SHERI Eddington and Emilie Biggar's time on My Kitchen Rules came to a bittersweet end last night.

The good mates, who grew up in Toowoomba, were up against friends Eva and Debra in their first sudden-death cook-off.

"We were so close with them," Ms Eddington told APN. "They were just massive competition, but of course we're still friends now. It's just a game and competition at the end of the day and we're happy at how far we got. We're proud of ourselves."

Ms Biggar, 24, said she was happy with the way her hearing impairment had been portrayed on the reality cooking show.

"They put a few bits in there where I was not hearing my phone or just listening to music and that really showed what happens to me every day," she said.

"I'm really happy with the way Channel 7 has brought up my disability. There have been a few wars on Facebook about people calling me the 'deaf contestant', which I take no offence to."

The "soul sisters" won't be opening up their own restaurant any time soon, but they do want to use their TV fame for a good cause.

"I want to get into anti-bullying and mental health awareness. That's my goal for 2015," Ms Eddington said.

"I want to get involved with schools and educate people on the differences between individuals. I want to make people celebrate the differences that we all have.

"Hopefully, we can use our My Kitchen Rules fame for a good cause."

Ms Biggar has school visits lined up in Melbourne next week to educate students on people living with disabilities. She plans to do the same thing when she visits Toowoomba next month.
