Orchestra to enrich the region

AN ENSEMBLE from the Queensland Symphony Orchestra will travel to Roma in September as part of the Chinchilla Miles Roma Enrichment through Music (CMR) Initiative.

As part of this initiative, orchestra musicians will perform for and workshop with local students and also work with the local Maranoa Symphony Orchestra.

Before the tour QSO will hold a free launch and information session on Monday, from 6.30pm, at the Roma Cultural Centre.

Attendees will hear about the upcoming 2017 CMR Initiative and the QSO Tour.

The information session will be an opportunity for parents, teachers and students to ask questions and learn what to expect if they participate.

They will also be treated to a performance from associate principal clarinet Brian Catchlove and lucky local clarinet students will participate in a tutorial with Brian.

Light refreshments will be provided at the information session. All are welcome to attend the free event.

RSVP to development@qso.com.au.

The Chinchilla Miles Roma Enrichment through Music (CMR) Initiative is an innovative partnership between Australia Pacific LNG and Queensland Symphony Orchestra, delivering quality music education and concert experiences to the students and community of Chinchilla, Miles, and Roma.
