Police officer stabbed at home disturbance
AN off-duty police officer has been stabbed in the chest after interrupting alleged trespassers in Deception Bay overnight.
Police say the male officer, 27, was speaking to a man who had been trespassing on a Lilian Pl property about 10.35pm when the man tried to escape.

The officer attempted to detain the man when he was stabbed in the chest multiple times.
The man, along with two others already in the car, fled in a silver Hyundai hatchback.
The 27-year-old officer was rushed to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
The three men are described as aged in their late teens or early twenties with the man who assaulted the officer described as Caucasian in appearance.
Investigations are continuing.
