Couple take home huge lotto win
A RETIRED couple from Lismore will be able to make their million dollar dreams come true after winning a first division prize of more than $1.3 million in the weekend's Saturday Lotto $20 Million Superdraw.
The winning couple has chosen to remain anonymous, but they did tell a NSW Lotteries official the win was a dream come true for them.
The division one winning 10-game QuickPick entry was purchased at News Extra Lismore Central.
Owners Chris and Debbie Pound said they felt like they've been on a winning roll recently.
"We've celebrated some big wins already this year," Mr Pound said.
"In March we sold a $1 million first division winning ticket in Wednesday Lotto and almost two weeks ago we had a $100,000 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize win.
"We may have achieved a hat trick but we'd really like to stay on this winning roll and sell first division in Thursday's $35 million Powerball draw.
"We'd like to congratulate our division one winning couple and wish them all the best for the future as new millionaires."
Throughout Australia, there were 15 entries that won a first division prize of $1,333,333.34 in the weekend's Saturday Lotto $20 Million Superdraw.
Along with the winning entry from Lismore, there were four other division one winning tickets sold in New South Wales, three were purchased in Queensland, three were sold in Victoria, one in South Australia and three in Western Australia.
The other New South Wales division one winning entries were purchased in Charlestown, Carlingford, Plumpton and online.
The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 3655 on Saturday 30 July 2016 were 45, 37, 40, 33, 27 and 32, with the supplementary numbers 22 and 38.
