INJUNE'S Tom and Zena Warrian are living proof that you are never too old to fall in love.

The pair are both well into their 90s but have only been married for two years.

Speaking from their trackside seats at the Injune Races, 92-year-old Zena said last week marked 15 years since they first met at Tom's 80th birthday party.

"We met through my friend and we went along to Tom's party," she said.

"I lost my previous husband 22 years ago in a road accident and then I met Tom."

From there, Zena's love for the now 95-year-old Tom blossomed into what it is today.

She said the key to their connectivity was their common upbringings.

"We both got along really well and I think it was because were both from the land," she said.

When it came time to pop the question, Zena said they both decided they weren't getting any younger and should make the most of life.

"We both thought it was the right time and we still think it was the best decision," she said.

Tom said the key to a successful marriage was hard work and perseverance.

"It's what you make of it - there's always give and take," he said.

The pair said their respective children were very supportive of their marriage.
