'My name is Dalton and I want to give you my bike'
WHILE children across Warwick write their Christmas lists to Santa, one special boy has another plan in mind.
Dalton Busuttil wanted to give away his Spiderman bike to 'a little girl or boy who does not have a bike'.
"We just put a new seat on it," the grade one student said.
"I've had it since I was three.
"I want it to go to a little girl or boy who might not have a bike and would like one."
With barely a scratch, and shining as if brand new, the bike would make a perfect Chistmas present, said the 6-year-old.
"I've looked after it," Dalton said.
Dalton's mother Susan posted her son's kind offer on Warwick Classified on Saturday, and was met with an overwhelming response.
Most comments praised the young boy for his selflessness and kindness.
"And a man from Dominoes heard I was giving it away and he gave us free pizzas!" Dalton said.
Less than an hour after it went up, Louise Manu was over to pick up the new set of wheels for her young son Malachi.
"I was hesitant at first because I thought there would be people more in need of it," she said.
"But my car's engine blew, and that's costing a lot.
"My son is home sick as the moment, and it will be a surprise for him for Christmas."
Dalton took his bike for one last spin before helping load it into the car.
"Malachi has just grown out of his bike," Louise told Dalton.
"After Christmas, we will put it on Facebook to give away to another child, just like this sweet boy did."
