MUD, SWEAT AND TEARS: Echidnas push for a win at home

IT WAS a muddy battle at Gallas Fox Park this afternoon as the Roma Echidnas fought St George to gain dominance in the mud,

When the final whistle blew at the 80-minute mark there were cheers from the crowd that their side had beaten St George 17-15.

The scrums were slippery and the players were covered from head to toe in mud as they battled for dominance through the wet weather.

The win marks another notch in the Echidnas' belt who have seemingly returned to form after a devastating 2014 season which saw minimal wins.

A-Grade Echidnas Captain Andrew Fuller congratulated the crowd for supporting the team for their home game "despite the weather".
