MOURNERS have farewelled three generations of a Biddeston family at an emotional service in Toowoomba.

Family and friends of Derek Sharpley, 52, his daughter Kris-Deann Sharpley, 27, and her seven-year-old son Jackson Sharpley-Knapp gathered at HumeRidge Church of Christ today.

The funeral was held for the victims of an apparent murder suicide which shocked the Darling Downs community after a relative discovered their bodies at Mr Sharpley's home on March 2.

It is believed the family members had died the night before.
