More than 900,000 calls made to RACQ in 2015

RACQ ROADSIDE assistance patrol men and women are expected to be kept busy this year if last year's figures are anything to go by.

RACE spokeswoman Lauren Ritchie said RACQ had been called to over 900,000 roadside assistance jobs in 2015.

"Our fleet of 425 patrol men and women will once again be working 365 days this year servicing Queenslanders 24/7."

About 277,000 calls to fix flat car batteries were made, along with 1,300 rescues of children and 710 rescues of pets from locked cars.

Ms Ritchie said there was never a safe time to leave children or pets unattended in cars.
