Minor earthquake hits south west Queensland

YOU may have felt a slight tremor last night and that's because an earthquake was recorded south-west of Mitchell.

At 7.26pm, a small 2.8 magnitude earthquake struck the area.

On the Richter magnitude scale the earthquake would be classed as being minor; meaning it would only be felt by some people with no damage to buildings.
