Mini Monets show their talent
PINT-SIZED Picassos and wee little Warhols from Roma State College Prep have shown their annual exhibition over the past two weeks in the library's Walk of Art.
Michelle Clout, Prep teacher at Roma State College, said holding the exhibit was a great family affair for the kids.
"When the kids walked in with their families, their faces lit up, it was very special.
"They were able to describe to their parents what they've been learning this term, and it helps them make real life connections to their learning.
After talking about art in class, the learning became real when the kids' work went up on display, Ms Clout said.
"We had a lot of parents and grandparents come through on opening night which was nice to see.
"The display was open across the school holidays too, so the children could show their work to visiting family members,” she said.
All four Prep teachers set up the children's gallery; Ms Clout acknowledged her colleagues Stephanie Walford, Neil Lauder, and Danielle Knayer for their dedication and hard work.
Their students' work is up for another week at the library's Walk of Art.
