McDowall Street hotspot the most popular in Queensland

IT MAY look like an ordinary Telstra hotspot on the street, but the small booth on McDowall St has ranked the most popular hotspot in Queensland, and second in the country overall.

New statistics from Telstra ranked the location as one of the top ten most popular sites to access the Telstra Air network, with statistics comparing site usage across all Australian states.

The most popular wi-fi point was the Telstra Store in George St, Sydney, with High St in Southport ranking third and Jetty Rd in Glenelg, Adelaide ranking fourth.

The data coincides with the launch of the free Telstra Air network today, which allows free wi-fi for Telstra customers at more than 200,000 hotspots around the country.
