Maranoa Royalties shopping list
MARANOA Council has applied for $14.5m of funding under the State Government Royalties to the Region program.
Maranoa is one of 14 local governments eligible to apply for the $60 million funding on offer in the 2012/13 financial year.
It is requesting $6m for Roma flood mitigation, $4.5m for industry-affected roads, $2.3m for sewerage in Roma and Injune and $1.7m for Roma airport parking.
Maranoa Mayor Rob Loughnan said the requests showed Council was taking a coordinated approach to funding submissions.
"These projects all focus on facilitating sustainable development of the regional economy and countering challenges resultant of the resources boom," Cr Loughnan said.
The State Government opened the current round for submissions this month and will advise Councils of successful projects in early 2013.
