Maranoa groups to receive $70,000 in funding

A NUMBER of community groups in the Maranoa will receive a small reprieve from the challenges of COVID-19 in the form of a funding boost to be put towards enhancing club facilities.

Member for Warrego Ann Leahy announced that community groups in Roma and Injune would receive a share of $70,000 in funding from the Gambling Community Benefit Fund.

“The Roma Historical Precincts will be able to upgrade the Roma Butter Factor with $35,000,” Ms Leahy said.

“The Injune Golf Club will receive $35000 to upgrade their kitchen.”

Ms Leahy said the Gambling Community Benefit Fund is a quarterly program providing up to $35 000 to community groups

“In this funding round, a total of $328 050 will be provided to 12 organisations across the Warrego Electorate,” she said.

“For more information or to request a letter of support for your next funding application, please contact my Electorate Office on 1800 625 430.”
