Maranoa groups to receive $70,000 in funding
A NUMBER of community groups in the Maranoa will receive a small reprieve from the challenges of COVID-19 in the form of a funding boost to be put towards enhancing club facilities.
Member for Warrego Ann Leahy announced that community groups in Roma and Injune would receive a share of $70,000 in funding from the Gambling Community Benefit Fund.
“The Roma Historical Precincts will be able to upgrade the Roma Butter Factor with $35,000,” Ms Leahy said.
“The Injune Golf Club will receive $35000 to upgrade their kitchen.”
Ms Leahy said the Gambling Community Benefit Fund is a quarterly program providing up to $35 000 to community groups
“In this funding round, a total of $328 050 will be provided to 12 organisations across the Warrego Electorate,” she said.
