Man urgently airlifted to Brisbane

A 60-YEAR-old man has been taken to Brisbane hospital after suffering a suspected cardiac condition at Reedy Creek.

The Surat Gas Aero-Medical helicopter airlifted the man from the mining site overnight.

He was initially taken to Roma Hospital, however the Roma-based helicopter was again tasked this morning on a hospital transfer after the man's condition deteriorated.

The helicopter flew to Roma Hospital to retrieve the patient, before transferring him to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for specialist medical treatment.

He was in a serious but stable condition.
