Man faces court over attempted stabbing of parents
A 31-YEAR-OLD man will face court in Ipswich on Wednesday charged with the attempted stabbing of his parents at Redbank Plains on Tuesday afternoon.
Shortly after midday, police said they were called to an address on Cardwell Street following reports of a dispute.
On arrival, a 63-year-old man and a 67-year-old woman were located at the address with apparent stab wounds.
They were both taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Police took a man into custody a short time later.
A 31-year-old Rocklea man with two counts of acts intended to main/disfigure/disable and is due to appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court on June 1.
