Man charged with spitting in face of female paramedic

A MAN has been charged after he allegedly spat in the face of a female paramedic at Caboolture on Sunday afternoon.

Police said that around 1.15pm, paramedics responded to a call at an address on Railway Parade.

It is alleged that as the paramedic was treating a man for superficial facial injuries he spat on her hands.

It is further alleged that after the man was warned not to spit, but then spat in the paramedics face.

The paramedic sought medical attention, and the man was arrested after being transported to Caboolture Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

A 25-year-old Redcliffe man has been charged with one count of serious assault of a public officer performing a function and is due to appear in the Caboolture Magistrates Court today.
