Man bailed on sex offences charges against girl relatives

A MAN has been bailed on charges of rape and other alleged sex offences against under-age female relatives.

The alleged attacks happened in the Stanthorpe and Severnlea areas between January 1992 and May of 1995.

The 57-year-old Victorian will appear before a Brisbane magistrate on February 5 after he was charged with two counts of carnal knowledge of girls under 16; three counts of indecent treatment of children under 16 and one count of rape.

The Brisbane Supreme Court granted the man bail on Monday.
