Man, 58, airlifted from Imbil forest

THE Sunshine Coast RACQ LifeFlight rescue helicopter was tasked to Imbil Forest Reserve yesterday at midday.

The crew at first searched for the incident near Yabba creek and soon located a 58-year-old motocross rider suffering a medical condition. Due to the terrain the only way to access the patient was to winch the rescue helicopters medical team to the location.

He was treated by the flight paramedic and doctor and was winched on board the aircraft and airlifted to Nambour Hospital in a stable condition.
