UPDATE: Police have located a body believed to be that of a man missing after going snorkelling in Noosa canals yesterday afternoon.
Police divers located the body around 5pm today in the vicinity of where the man had been last seen.
Investigations are continuing.
EARLIER: A KOREAN man who went missing while snorkeling at Noosa is now feared dead.
Police have confirmed the search for the man is now a "recovery operation".
The search has been narrowed to a Weyba Creek site where divers are currently continuing the recovery, Senior Sergeant Chad McAlister said.
He said a body had not yet been located, but the recovery operation would continue at the creek off Lion's Park, on Noosa Drive.
The missing man was a Korean citizen, and the Korean Embassy had been contacted, Snr Sgt McAlister said.
A Korean Embassy representative was on the way to Noosa and was expected later this afternoon, he said.
He said the man was part of a group of people who had traveled from Brisbane to go snorkeling.
THE search for a man who went missing yesterday while snorkeling at Noosa has focused on a section of Weyba Creek.
Police divers are now in the canal, which is close to the Lion's Park at Noosa Parade.
Sunshine Coast Daily photographer John McCutcheon is on the scene.
He said a section of the canal had been closed off to other boats, with Coast Guard and Surf Life Saving vessels blocking either side of the search site.

THE search for a missing man last seen snorkeling at Noosa yesterday have resumed this morning.
Police say the 25-year-old man, who lives at Eight Mile Plains, was last seen snorkeling at the Weyba Creek area about 12.30pm yesterday.
The search resumed this morning after a land, water and air based search failed to locate the man yesterday.
Water police continued to patrol canals in the vicinity of Noosa Road and Witta Circuit, as well as Lions Park, police said. Local police were also conducting on-going patrols in the area.
POLICE are seeking public assistance to help locate a 25-year-old man reported missing in the Noosa area.
The man was last seen snorkeling at approximately 12.30pm today in the vicinity of Noosa Road and Witta Circuit and has not made contact with anyone since.
The man is Korean in appearance and resides in Eight Mile Plains but has not made contact with anyone he was travelling with. He was last seen wearing a black wetsuit top and sky-blue board shorts.
Police are asking anyone who has seen the man or has any information about his whereabouts to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
