Maguire benches Farah in search for more attacking spark

RABBITOHS coach Michael Maguire hopes the 10 positional changes he has made to his side will turn things around in today's clash with Canberra Raiders at ANZ Stadium.

With nothing to show from recent losses in closely fought games, Maguire is looking for some spark.

Livewire hooker Damien Cook will start ahead of veteran Robbie Farah and is expected to liven up the attack.

"I think he's learnt a lot from working with Robbie. Robbie's experience over the years I can see coming out in Damien now," Maguire said.

Alex Johnston is back at fullback after some solid early-season performances as Cody Walker shifts into five-eighth.

"I'd like to give Cody another opportunity at coming into the front line. He's got a different dynamic," Maguire said.

"I'm looking forward to seeing Adam [Reynolds] and Cody back together again and getting a bit of spark in our attack,"

"We've got a lot of things we need to get right, our consistency in areas of our game. That's what we're setting out to do this Saturday: to really build that consistent game.

"We've given ourselves opportunities but we haven't been able to do that right through the 80 minutes."

Maguire confirmed captain Sam Burgess would starting despite talk the Englishman would be out for the season.
