Senior Laura Lavelle cleans up Roma State College awards night
One thing's certain for Laura Lavelle after Wednesday night - she will need a bigger trophy cabinet.
The Roma State College senior took home a staggering six awards from her school's awards night.
Awards included Academics for legal studies, business communication and technologies, mathematics A and drama, the Roma Performing Arts Fine Arts Award and the Marie Memory Memorial Bursary.
Laura only has three weeks left of school before graduating and had some words of wisdom to pass on to the younger students.
"Just give 100% always and it will definitely pay off," she said.
"Teachers definitely recognise when you are trying hard.
"And don't be afraid to ask questions because that will help you in the long run."
Laura has her sights set on becoming at television journalist and will be studying at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in Brisbane next year.
"I'm hoping to go study television journalism after I graduate ," she said.
"I am really excited but I'm scared at the same time because I've been in Roma my entire life and I've never studied in a big city."
