How you can learn to save someone's life

LEARNING this vital skill could one day save someone's life.

As part of the 2016 Ambulance Week celebrations this Wednesday, the Roma Ambulance station opened their doors to the public and provided a number of activities including some CPR training.

Third year paramedic student Alex Vickers spent his first day at the Roma station teaching the life-saving manoeuvre.

"We are trying to teach people what to do in emergency situation when they don't really know because it is daunting," he said.

"There's an app people can use know that tells them who to call and when to call."

Maddie Wilson was involved in the CPR learning process on the day.

"I've been learning how to save a life before the paramedics get there," she said. "It's a very good skill to have."
