Large ice quantity seized by Roma Police

ROMA Police has charged a man and seized a large amount of methamphetamine in a roadside drug bust.

The arrest of the former local man in his 20s occurred on Six Mile Rd on December 19 during a routine patrol when the officers saw the man throw something from his car.

A search of the man revealed he had attempted to hide a glass pipe in his underwear, with a vehicle search producing methamphetamine, weighing 21.4g.

Roma police acting OIC Scott Jackson said the seizure was most likely to be used to supply Roma with ice.

The man has been remanded in custody and will appear in court in January.
