Kid returns reportedly stolen phone, dealt with by cops
A young teenager who reportedly stole unattended items from a bench at Westlands Plaza has had a run-in with police.
Roma police sergeant Chris Keenan said the 13-year-old boy grabbed the items and decamped at 3.30pm on March 6.
“A 22-year-old male from Roma has left some personal items on a bench,” sergeant Keenan said.
Police identified the boy and dealt with him, however he won’t have to appear in court.
“The juvenile has returned the phone to the owner and has been dealt with by police in accordance to the Youth Justice Act,” sergeant Keenan said.
