James Blunt leaves Twitter in stitches

JAMES Blunt left fans in stitches on Twitter after posting a funny tweet about shopping for "hoes".

The You're Beautiful singer is known for his sense of humour on social media, and on Thursday he didn't disappoint his followers, The Sun reports.

James shared a picture of a shop in Leicester called Blunts Shoes, but unfortunately the S was missing from the sign, making it read as "Blunts hoes".

The 43-year-old captioned the shot: "Dis where I get ma hoes".

One follower wrote: "Coming out station and seeing blunts was funny enough but this tops my immature 14 year old self's idea of comedy."

Another added: "You are a funny, funny man," while a third tweeted: "yet another classic from the Twitter fiend".

James has won a whole legion of fans thanks to his often self-deprecating humour on Twitter.

In December, he tweeted: "If you thought 2016 was bad, I'm releasing an album in 2017."

And in a television advert for his new record The Afterlove, he pokes fun at himself by holding hands and reassuring people in group therapy - at a support group for his fans.

Speaking to The Sun he said: "You need to be a brave person to admit to being a James Blunt fan.

"But now fans are giving me grief for not taking myself seriously. They love my music and I've made my best album yet. I'm so proud of it and happy to say that."
