It's going to be even hotter on the Coast today
SO you survived Saturday's heatwave conditions?
Got through another restless night?
Well, the bad news is that it's going to be even hotter today.
Quite a bit hotter, in fact.
While most Sunshine Coast centres fell short of their expected maximum temperatures on Saturday, it doesn't mean it wasn't hot.
Fortunately, there were a few waves on for the surfers looking to find some 'shade'.

Nambour was the most uncomfortable, peaking at 32.7 degrees in the early afternoon - just short of the predicted top of 33 degrees.
Maroochydore hit 30.4 degrees, Tewantin 29 and Gympie a sizzling 37.7.

Weather forecasters say Nambour could hit 40 degrees today and are also predicting 36 degrees in both Maroochydore and Tewantin.
Further west, Toowoomba is expected to sizzle with 40 degrees and Ipswich residents are braced for a high of 43 degrees.

Out in Birdsville, only a crazy man would leave the air-conditoning today, with a high of 47 degrees predicted.
Stay tuned for updates.
