Investigation into gas in Wallumbilla water continues

INVESTIGATIONS are continuing into the presence of methane gas in Wallumbilla's Bore 2.

Maranoa Regional Council is conducting testing of the bore today.

This testing will require the bore to run for several hours, during which water will flow into the street's storm water drains.

>> Water contamination may be linked to coal seam gas wells

Council has advised residents should not see a change in their water supply while testing is carried out.

The Wallumbilla water supervisor can be phoned on 0428 235 030.
