
Injured hiker airlifted off Table Top Mountain
AN INJURED hiker has been airlifted by RACQ CareFlight helicopter from Table Top Mountain near Toowoomba.
The Toowoomba RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter was tasked to Table Top just before 9am following reports a hiker had been injured near the summit.
It is believed the 20-year-old Ipswich woman was hiking with family when she lost her footing and injured her knee.
As a result, she was unable to get back down the mountain.
CareFlight's Toowoomba rescue helicopter landed close to the scene and the woman was assessed by the CareFlight medical team before being flown to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition.
