Injune to host origin legend Shane Webcke

FORMER Broncos and Origin legend Shane Webcke will be the guest speaker in Injune today at the Funtastic Family Auction Arvo to raise money for cancer.

The Brisbane great, who was named as one of the 20 greatest Broncos players of all time, will be at Possum Park, 2-6pm.

Webcke played 254 games for the Broncos between 1995 and 2006 and won four premierships with the side.

He also played 21 games for Queensland in State of Origin and 25 matches for Australia.

Known for his toughness and aggression, the man known as Warhorse played through the pain of a broken arm in 2000 to help guide the Broncos to a grand final win over the Sydney Roosters.

The special event, which is being sponsored by the Maranoa Regional Council, Queensland Government and Cancer Council of Queensland, will feature auction items at the Twilight Gala, a barbecue dinner and licenced bar, jumping castle, face painting and novelty events.

You can also get your Australia's Biggest Morning Tea Merchandise at the event.

Make sure you get there by 2pm at Possum Park for all the action.
