‘I’d like to shine a positive light on my recent experience’ at Pinaroo
FOR years, we’ve heard negative stories about aged care facilities.
The industry was under a shadow throughout the Royal Commission then the COVID response down south.
But I would like to shine a positive light on my recent experience.
My three brothers and I have a blind, 92-year-old mother who is a resident in Roma at the Pinaroo aged care facility.
The genuine care and friendliness of all staff from the CEO to the domestic staff is amazing.
I would regularly see the CEO/Facility Manager Melanie Calvert chatting and mixing with patients and staff.
The dedicated nurses and carers in the dementia section are at a different level and handle all patients with the utmost care and understanding.
Finally, the cleanliness is second to none.
I don’t think I have seen another facility or hospital with the same level of cleanliness.
It is such a comfort to my brothers and I that our mother is in such a wonderful environment and receiving the very best care.
A massive thank you to CEO/Facility Manager Melanie Calvert and all her staff.
