How’s this for a State of Origin prank?
TRACE Saunders is a proud New South Welshman, so it’s not surprising she has gone to great lengths to annoy her workmate and friend Tanya Dawes every June.
Both employees at PJH Livestock and Property Roma enjoy quality banter when it comes to State of Origin time, with Ms Saunders pranking her colleague for the third year running by giving Ms Dawes’ car a decidedly blue tinge on Wednesday morning.
“I pinched her keys and snuck out to dress her whole car in blue,” she said jokingly.
This is not the first time Ms Saunders has pranked Ms Dawes in public, with her previous stunts arguably more devious.
“What I’ve done in the past is decorated her desk in blue,” she said.
“I once stuck a logo on her back and she walked around all day without knowing that she had it on there.
“For the first game this year, I acquired the keys to her house, snuck in and decorated it all in blue.
“We’ve been working for Steve (Goodhew, principal at PJH) for a while and it’s been going for that long.”
Ms Dawes got the last laugh though after the Maroons wrapped up the series with a 26-16 win.
