Hoons ram police vehicle during dramatic Charleville car chase

SUSPECTED hoons have taken off into the darkness after a dramatic police chase through Charleville.

Police were called to Edward St after receiving repeated calls from the public to attend a hooning Holden Commodore on the evening of October 3 to Edward

Street, Charleville in relation to a vehicle hooning and travelling at excessive speed.

The car was reportedly doing burnouts and blew a tyre, and police observed it still driving around despite this.

But when police chased the vehicle with lights and sirens, it failed to stop as directed and sped away.

When the vehicle came to a corner, it was spun out of control and police encountered the Commodore on a dirt track at the end of Parry St.

The suspect vehicle rammed a police car, damaging the bullbar.

The Commodore was later dumped and the occupants left on foot.

The vehicle has been seized by police and investigations are continuing.
